Mini Behind-the-Ear (Mini-BTE)

Miniature BTE devices are a new concept in hearing aids and have become more popular as a large segment of the population becomes older. The open-fit concept means your ear canal is not entirely blocked and natural sound is able to enter your ear, in addition to the amplification. These devices come in a variety of shapes and colors. They are not custom made and instead come in different sizes depending on the height and shape of your ear.

Receiver-in-canal (RIC)

Receiver-in-canal or RIC hearing instruments are worn behind the ear and come with tiny housings because their receiver sits directly in the ear canal. The so-called miniReceivers come in different sizes for different levels of amplification. RICs can be quickly and easily adjusted and provide a high degree of wearing comfort, discretion and appropriate amplification.

Our new and improved Signia RIC hearing aids are the perfect choice for those seeking the utmost discretion and functionality. They sit nearly invisible behind the ear for a discreet appearance, while innovative technologies help wearers enjoy a new dimension of effortless listening.

Completely in the canal (CIC)

A completely-in-the-canal hearing aid is molded to fit inside your ear canal. It improves mild to moderate hearing loss in adults. A completely-in-the-canal hearing aid, is the smallest and least visible type, is less likely to pick up wind noise, uses very small batteries, which have shorter life and can be difficult to handle, Doesn't contain extra features, such as volume control or a directional microphone, is susceptible to earwax clogging the speaker.

INVISIBLE-IN-CANAL (IIC)

The IIC's are the smallest hearing aid models on the market. Invisible-in-canal (IIC) hearing aids use the ears natural shape to localize sound. The custom-made shell is made to fit deep into your ear canals, making it virtually invisible.

IIC hearing aids fit so comfortably in your ears that you may forget you are even wearing them. They are also fully automatic, making the listening experience even more natural.

In the Ear (ITE)

In-the-ear (ITE) hearing aids were the first custom hearing aids available. Although they are less popular than their newer, smaller cousins, they are still appropriate for many individuals. ITE hearing aids use a larger bater (size 13 or 312) and can sometimes provide more power. They are usually more secure because the top of the ear helps to hold it in. This device is best for people who have difficulty with dexterity or vision. Its twin microphones afford better directionality and noise reduction than just one microphone.
